EICKER SUITE:  AN INVITING PLACE FOR ROMANCE

The living room features ceramic figurines
and a needlepoint made by  Mary Ann's aunt.
This suite has a full bath: tub, shower, stool, &
a sink with a vanity that was an antique icebox.
Also the suite has a small kitchen and bedroom.
The suite, like the others, has a private entrance.

Incidentally, this suite and the  other three
are named after former residents and owners.

The arts & crafts decor in the Eicker Suite is the ideal getaway for those seeking romance.  The bedroom has a queen-sized bed sitting by a bay window which offers a glimpse  of a deep red flowered bougainvillea vine.   Besides the bed are two matching antique end tables and a rare cedar lined chifforobe.

STARN SUITE:  STEPPING INTO THE ART DECO ERA

When you step into the living room of the Starn Suite, let your cares behind and enter
into the happier days of the art deco era.  In the
living room, you will encounter sleek, matching
chairs besides a faux marble table in a moderne
art style. Later when you're tired and need to
sleep, rest in a lovely bedroom with a complete waterfall set: bed, vanity, chifforobe,  &  chair.

Besides these rooms, the Starn Suite has a fully furnished kitchen with all the appliances, dishes,
and utensils you'll need to fix a meal.  Also your own private bath awaits you.  Like all four suites
this one has a private entrance so you can come and go as you please.

PHILLIP SUITE: A RETURN TO THE BEAUTY OF OLD FLORIDA

Like all the suites, this one has a  private bath, bedroom, living room, & small kitchen.  Also it has a private entrance.  As all suites, this one has heat & a/c, cable tv, wireless hookup, and local phone service.  The
living room furnishings are from  the bygone days of old Florida. An antique
rattan sofa, chairs, and table  are featured here.

Unlike the other suites, this one opens to a
small patio and large deck in our backyard.  It
features such lush Florida greenery as hibiscus,
bougainvillea, and jasmine.  On a warm night,
when you step outside, you can smell the odor
of jasmine in the air.

The Philip Suite is named after A. Phillips
who was the original owner of the structure.  He
bought it in 1926 from an ad in a Sears Roebuck
Catalogue for $3,000.  The parts for the building
were sent from Chicago by rail and assembled by local tradesmen.  By the 1930's the boom was over, he went broke and had to sell.

In  memory of A. Phillip, Mary Ann felt  at
least one suite should reflect  his dreams  & era.  When she found a photo of him, she placed it in
an antique frame in the bedroom.  Around  his
image, she furnished the bedroom with a queen size bed and rattan pieces.

WILLIS SUITE:  A NOSTALGIC VISIT TO GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE

The bedroom features the antique bed of Mary Ann's grandmother.  However, it was adapted by
Bryce to hold a modern queen size mattress.  If
you are thinking of buying an antique bed, ask him
to show you his method for modifying an old bed.

A large chifforobe, made by local craftsmen,
provides storage for guests.  Above the bed are
two needle works with sayings in both English &
German.  These were made by the wife of Mary
Ann's great, great grandfather who was a German
immigrant and upon his arrival was drafted into
the Union Army.
Remember when you visited your grandmother
and you had a snack at her kitchen table.  On a
trip to Michigan, Mary Ann scoured antique stores
for a mint condition 1950's table & chairs.  She
found one in a small Michigan town.  Later she even found a cookie jar just like her mother owned.
Then she put these items into the dining area of the Willis Suite.

This suite, like the other three, has a kitchen,
bedroom, living room, and private bath.
It also has heat & a/c, cable tv, wireless hookup, and local phone service. Many families prefer this
suite because its living room has a large pull out sofa for a child or an extra person.

A LARGE COMBINATION ROOM FOR GUEST DINING & LOUNGING
The above photo shows Mary Ann setting her best china on one of two dining tables where she can serve a dozen guests at a time.  The other photo features a corner of the lounging area in the
combination room.  Both areas have been used for business presentations and other group activities
such as family dinners and  small wedding ceremonies.  The rooms measurements are 18' x 24'.
